Ok,

I have searched and searched, every result is calling a macro from workbook2 running it in workbook1.

what I want to do is save my macro(s) in workbook1 and run them in workbook2, 3, 4 without any VBA in workbook2, 3, 4

I am pulling data from the web and saving it as workbook2, 3, 4 and security issues don't allow me to use personal.vba all the time.

so I want to save my macros in a workbook, we will call is my macros.xlsm

I plan on using on_click buttons.

all workbooks will be in the same directory (most likely the desktop) and I can have all of them open.

I am probably not searching right or I would find what I need I am sure.

basic VBA for 'directing the following code to run in workbook2... sheet2...

thank you
hope this makes sense

DR

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
You can save your macros as a .xla file(excel add-in flie), and then plug it in as an add in. Your macros should then be accessible in any excel document.

Thanks but that is still not a working option for me due to security settings on the network.

is there not a command, where you run your macro/vba that's says "open in / run in that workbook over there called workbook2" and not right here in this sheet / book where I am saved at?
