Hello all,

I am having an issue with my conditional formatting. I would like to just manually set all my borders for my worksheet, and have my conditional formatting ignore borders, but when I select no borders it just removes them from my conditional ranges. How do I fix this?

Just in case, my CF is to lightly shade every other visible row in my range.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
By default it shouldn't change the borders unless you have specified.

Edit the the conditional format rule and go to the Borders Tab. In the bottom right of the tab is a 'Clear' button. If you can click it it means you've specified a border. Click it to clear any conditional borders.
