Filtered Data Not Showing

Hello,

I filtered my data by column A (Yes/No), and am using information in columns B & C (Started/Not Started)

Whenever I create Pivot Tables, it shows all the data, and not just the rows that meet the filter criteria. How do I prevent this?

I am also looking to do a COUNTIF to count the data in the filtered area..

I am using =COUNTIF(A:A,"Not Started", B:B,"Yes") but this is returning 0 everything.

When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Either separate the data manually. Or filter the data within the pivot table with pivot filters. The later is more sensible. There's no way to have a pivot table look at visible cells only.

In regards to your formula. You're looking at multiple criteria so you have o use the Countifs formula, not the Countif formula.
