Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
The maximum number of "items" that a PivotTable can have is 8,000. To understand what an item is look at the Excel Help topic for "Parts of a PivotTable". Item examples are shown in yellow. So let's say that one of your PivotTable fields consists of 8,001 unique date values and you wanted to display them all. That would exceed this limit.

Thank you Mark for your quick reply
I did work with worksheets that have a lot more than 8000 items with no problem. On Friday I made a Pivot Table with 25000 and had no problem. I selected the first 25000 rows of this file as the range and had no problem. I'm using Excel 97 SR1

Friend,

I have a file nos.5 and 22 which can help you to extract unique values.

You can see the code fro file nos.22.

I hope this can help you to extract unique value.
