I've tried searching for answers for this but I just don't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.

So, I have list of content in cell A1, B1, C1 & D1 etc and as I fill in that same content from those cells into other cells I'd like to have the exact content in A1, B1, C1, D1, etc. auto delete itself so I'm not duplicating the values in the list or I can see what I have left to populate.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Right click the sheet name, select "View Code" and paste the following into the code window:

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

Dim thisCell As Range
Dim matchCell As Variant

For Each thisCell In Target
    If thisCell.Row <> 1 And Trim$(thisCell.Value) <> "" Then
        matchCell = Application.Match(thisCell.Value, Rows(1), 0)
        If Not IsError(matchCell) Then
            Cells(1, matchCell).Value = ""
        End If
    End If
Next thisCell

End Sub
