Hey Guys,

I'm running into a little bit of an issue with conditional formatting. I'm putting together a baseball spreadsheet in preparation for the season and for a reason unknown to me I'm unable to conditionally format certain columns. I posted a link to my sheet it's on Google Drive but the file is in excel. I'm pulling data from the web using a power query and then organizing it in a worksheet. Please view the pitcher breakdown tab, I would like to conditionally format the IP column red to green, ranking highest to lowest. However it's don't working when I do this the traditional way. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
People don't like clicking on links, but maybe someone else will.

In case not, can you describe:

1) What you want it to do?
2) What it is doing?
3) What it is not doing?
4) What your Conditional Formatting formula is?

Thank you.

It looks like the values in your Probables sheet are not actual numbers. You need to turn them into numbers. Highlight each column below the header one at a time and do this:
DATA - TEXT TO COLUMNS - FINISH. Don't select any other options. This will turn them into numbers. Then your lookup will return numbers as well. Then your conditional formatting will work too.

Opening macro workbooks is a little risky. If you disable macros before opening, you should be fine after you find out there is no automatic code being run on startup.

You may want to check all your other sheets you import for the same issue.
