Use external editor for writing VBA modules, userforms, classes

I use Atom as my primary code editor/viewer for all of my scripting and html coding needs. I really enjoy the interface and several of the features in offers.

Is it possible to use it as a VB editor for excel?
 

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
