Possible to Convert Excel spreadsheet into like a laid out sign in word or another program?

I was asked to find out if this is possible, I dont think it is, I mean i can create laid out signs with adobe indesign merging my spreadsheet, but I was asked to see if it was at all Possible to convert it semi-auto or easily into a laid out sign just based off data entered. Thanks in advance for any answer of this. most likely its a no this isnt possible but that is fine too.
