AS400 and Excel

Good day everyone!

We always encounter a problem with our billers that uses AS400 for bill entry process. They usually miss important information or required details that needs to be be placed on AS400. The information are specific to each customer and it is listed on an excel sheet. Is it possible for AS400 to make a lookup on excel and trigger a message box or an alert prompt based on the excel sheet using macros or vba?
