    Default Question about x axis on graphs

    I have a graph that I want to go from 0 to 80000 in 10000 unit increments on my x axis. I want my data to fall not on the major tick marks (ie: a 25000, 45000, etc). How do I set this up?

    Hi, your request is a little unclear to me, but it sounds like you probably need what Excel calls a scatter chart.

    Once you've set up your chart, it's simple to right click on the X axis, and then under Axis Options, choose Fixed, 0 for the Minimum, Fixed, 80,000 for the Maximum, and Fixed, 10,000 for the Major Unit.
    The following is my SIGNATURE. It's not part of any question or solution I'm posting. If it IS your solution, you've got a very weird problem !

    Sub Macro()
    ActiveCell = "IY" & Right(Application.Name, 5)
    With ActiveCell.Characters(Start:=2, Length:=1).Font
    .Name = "Webdings"
    .Color = 255
    End With
    End Sub

    Gerald,

    You were right on the money...I had it set up as a line graph. As soon as I set it to a scatter graph, I was able to do exactly what I wanted.

    Thanks for your help...

    Erick
