I have a graph that I want to go from 0 to 80000 in 10000 unit increments on my x axis. I want my data to fall not on the major tick marks (ie: a 25000, 45000, etc). How do I set this up?

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Hi, your request is a little unclear to me, but it sounds like you probably need what Excel calls a scatter chart.

Once you've set up your chart, it's simple to right click on the X axis, and then under Axis Options, choose Fixed, 0 for the Minimum, Fixed, 80,000 for the Maximum, and Fixed, 10,000 for the Major Unit.

Gerald,

You were right on the money...I had it set up as a line graph. As soon as I set it to a scatter graph, I was able to do exactly what I wanted.

Thanks for your help...
