What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
hi, Yassir

Just start. :)

There are books, youtubes, endless sites that google will find. There is the macro recorder (within Excel).
You might start just reading forum questions & trying the solutions.
There is always more to learn.

When you get stuck, try google. Or ask on the forum.

AND, answer questions on the forum to accelerate your learning.

Enjoy the journey. regards, Fazza

YASSIR, do you have any application in mind?

Is there anything you need to create?

It's more easier if you have an application in mind.

For example, my first application adjusted the width of the columns in order to fit in a single A4 page. I had got tired of doing this manually, I needed an automated and productive way to do so and ... guess what ... that's how I made my first application.

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to aswer,

Yes of course, I'm a financial advisor and excel is the essential tool with which I work, but the problem is that when I see a VBA code I don't understand anything, like I do need to understand the basics in order to be capable at least of copying some vba codes and try to adjust them to my workbooks.... this is what I find it real hard to jump in and work with vba,

Thank you again

YASSIR, think of the tasks that you do frequently, tasks that you do manually, tasks that are time consuming. Think of what can be automated.
