Get error message every time xl starts - 'Could not load an object as it is not available on this machine'. When I select the 'Time Zone' item on the HTML menu I get the same error and then in VBE 'Compile error - variable not defined' - something to do with Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() and the Timer1 lines. Any ideas Colo or Ivan?

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Hi Chris,

You're not the first person that this has happened to:)

Please see this thread for more information on the matter.

Also, if you have any other questions, feel free to post on Colo's message board: http://www.interq.or.jp/sun/puremis/colo/

He tends to check that quite a bit and should be able to answer any technical questions for it.

Hope it helps,

Cheers for the replies - sorry the post wasn't to the right place. I downloaded the component required but I can't install it - seems the network admin has disabled installation of ActiveX controls. The HTMLMaker still works OK though so I'll just have to put up with the error.

Hi Chris,
If you don't install ietimer, I found the easiest thing to do is to uncheck HTMLMaker in the tools/addins menu and just select it when you need to use it. You stop the message that may. I expect your already doing this though.

Workaround for the install problem courtesy of the great Colo himself:

I'm not sure but please try as follows
1.After Download, double click ietimer.cab
2.right click ietimer.ocx
3.press E key.
4.At dialogue, select C:
5.type on Command prompt
regsvr32 ietimer.ocx
and press Enter.
