I created a database for me and others to use. But when others try to open it, they get a message that says its locked.

What is this and how do I make this to where we all can use it?

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Solved: It had to do with Folder rights not the Database.

If other users are going to be using it, you should Split the database into a back-end and a front-end, and distribute a copy of the front-end for each user.
Doing so greatly reduces the chances of corruption, and makes making updates while people are working in it much easier.

I highly recommend doing this if multiple users will be using it.
