Not sure why I keep getting an Invalid Syntax error for this formula. I want it to return "Complete" in the cell when StepsDetailOpen column cell is blank. Below is the formula I'm using. Any thoughts??

Steps Detail Status: IIF([StepsDetailOpen]" ","COMPLETE")

Excel Facts

Excel Wisdom
Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
Try:
Code:
[COLOR=#333333]Steps Detail Status: IIF([StepsDetailOpen]="","COMPLETE","")[/COLOR]
Note that a single space (" ") is not the same as blank/empty ("").
