That is my problem, I want to use it to edit and add records on the subform in datasheet view. Like I was saying to Micron, I have one that is emaluated that works but I can't seem to replicate it to mine situation. Mine filters perfectly just like I want it to. But when I try to edit after filtering a record it gives me the error:
(Update or CancelUpdate without AddNew or Edit.)

Well I'd start by seeing it it worlks when not filtered.?

A lot of work went into the ESF on this link

    https://www.access-programmers.co.uk...light=emulated

Otherwise I'd take the one that works and amend it, or compare them both carefully re properties etc.?
