Pivot Table Form Access for data Entry

Hello forum,

i would be grateful if you could propose a solution for me or give me some hints how to tackle this problem:

i some data that user has to input and the data is first split into several main cathegories (example continent), then each continent by coutries, each country by city and at the end i have to specify a number to that specific item ( for example 3). and i have to do this for each subcathegory.

the best solution i've found so far was the pivot table in Access but it seems that pivot tables are of course read only.

can you suggest a solution?

you could use cascading comboboxes to narrow down the choices as the user enters data.
