hey there
once the combo box entry is selected I want to populate the recordsource column StartDate. since the form in linked to the main table I'm trying to populate the date with I've tried change the StatDate text box to a list box (unbound).

on the after updade of the combo box if added the following code
Me.txt_StartTimeLogged = Now()

but its not populating.

I should say I tried addin a non bound text box to the form with the same code pointing to update but still non populating

Any ideas?

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Either bind the combo box to the table or query field (in which case, any change to the displayed value would become the new value)
OR if the combo must remain unbound,
you will have to run a stored Update query or execute a vba sql statement to update your table. Assigning a value to an unbound control has no effect on a table.
