Hi I've created about 100 Dax formulas. At this point I know some are not being used. How do I figure out which ones are old?

Can I also rename a formula without screwing up the workbook calculations. I would like to change the name of 1YRS AGO... to 1YR AGO..

Would love it if there was also a way to see all the formulas listed to print out and or save outside of the work book.

To open and wait till the refresh is done and edit them is so slow.

Would a formula that isn't used on the worksheets still use ram and time.

Thanks I know it's a lot at once.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
To answer some of your questions, you should look at Power Pivot Utilities by SQLBI. There is one that will put all measure formulas in a worksheet.

Measures are only calculated when needed - even measures nested inside another measure. If you have conditional branching, and a branch that uses a distinct measure is not used, the value is not computed.

Wow. Thanks this is perfect.

This well help a lot.

Just to confirm from your comments.

A DAX measure will only use memory if I'm using it on a sheet. So no limit to the number of measures. Only measures used in pivot tables take up memory.

Thanks

Basically, yes. Vertipaq is an in-memory database. Materializing measures is what uses up RAM.
