Change PowerPivot data table source

Hi,

My company is adopting SharePoint as a file storage solution. As a result, I need to move a number of files from their current server location to SharePoint and rename the files to meet the new naming conventions. Unfortunately, I can't move the files directly there...I have to make a copy of the existing file. The problem with this is the pivot tables are retaining their connections to the original workbooks.

Changing the connections for standard pivot tables is easy enough, but I can't figure out how to do this with pivot tables where I've used Power Pivot and added the source table to the data model. The source table in this case is in the same workbook as the pivot table; I used power pivot as some of the calculations I wanted are not supported within a standard pivot.

How do I change the data table source? I'd prefer to avoid adding the new data table and manually recreating the pivot.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.

Best regards,

Frank
