Hi,

This morning i have connected two workbooks together using the 'Power Query' add in tab, its worked well and i have all the data, however all my formatting has gone, specifically the dates, instead of showing a short date (00/00/00), it is displaying as a general format 5 digit number and i just cant work out how to change it, so that the format stays and updates automatically. It has also done the same for currency values.

Does anyone know how to keep the format of these columns that have been copied across into my new workbook?

thank you.

No, its a blank worksheet and if i choose a new worksheet exactly the same thing happens- formatting does not pull across.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
I managed to sort out the formatting problem, by copying the data from the original worksheet into a separate worksheet and then connecting to my new workbook- for some reason it now works. Not sure what the problem was before. Thank you for your help.
