Hi,

I am using Power Query with Excel 2010. If I want to check something in Excel proper whilst developing a query, I have to close the Power Query window to do this. I.e. It doesn't work like VBA editor! I find this behavior irritating - is there a way that I can navigate within Excel tabs whilst keeping the Power Query window open? Is this a power query/Excel version issue? i.e. is it resolved in say Excel 2016 with an up-to-date version of the add-in?

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy,

Unfortunately the experience is the same with Power Query within all versions of Excel from 2010 to 2016 - the Power Query window must be closed to navigate the Excel workbook.

I just did a quick search and it turns out this has been raised at excel.uservoice.com where you can vote for this feature to be added (just voted myself) :)
