Calculated Fields in Power BI Desktop

Hi guys,

I understand that we do not have Calculated Fields in Power BI, so is there any way to emulate the function through adding new calculated columns in Power BI?

Basically, the Calculated Field that I had back in excel is "(Target Revenue - Actual Revenue)/Actual Vol", referencing three columns. From my understanding, Calculated Field would sum up its individual column (Target Revenue, Actual Revenue and Actual Vol columns) before performing its intended calculation.

Hence, in order to replicate the similar formula in Power BI, I've added a new column and the following formula:

(SUM['Target Revenue']-SUM['Actual Revenue'])/SUM['Actual Vol']

Then at the result dashboard, the values did not display according to what I've expected. Instead, the calculation is done on per-row basis.

Is there any workaround?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Sorry for getting back late but yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you RoryA!
