Hi guys,

I am really struggling to use PowerBI in the following setup:

I have a PowerBI desktop. I Created a project where I import data from an excel file on my PC and I installed personal gateway and setup a scheduled refresh, so it will be published online also.

I get to endless problems with this setup.. some unclear errors during refresh that require me to google and try lots of stuff till I make it work.
Sometimes the personal gateway is not running. Now it just stopped running altogether.
I cannot even choose scheduled refresh.

In my gateways I don't see an option to delete.

It all feels like one big beta.

My question is if someone is managing to use this setup in a proper way?
Another question, can I just run the PowerBi report online (or from the mobile app) and it will just get the data from an excel file that is stored on OneDrive? I don't really need this scheduled refresh, I just need up-to-date data when I open my PowerBI report (I suppose as anyone else in this world?!)

Thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
The refresh to your published site may be limited depending on your subscription. Double check with Microsoft.
You can also find some additional information through Rob Collie's company and website, PowerPivotPro.com

I don't use a PowerBI subscription. I have only read on some of the limits, which may be out of date since there are monthly updates.
