How can I create Variance using New Measure

Hi - I am so so stuck. I want to show the variance of 2012 vs 2012. Can this be done using New Measure?

Hi Cindy

I'm assuming that's a typo and you want a variance between 2012 and 2011. To do this effectively, you should have separate measures for each of these years and then simply subtract one from the other. I'm assuming that you're pivoting on year. Change your measures to include a filter based on year so that you have two separate measures.
