I have a sales table which has customer #, customer name, sales $, salesman,etc.

I would like to create a pivot table which has row numbers as the first Column so if I filter the table by salesman the row numbers reorganize themselves

line # customer # sales amt s/m
1a100jack
2b100jack
3c100joe
4d500david
5e500jack
6f500joe

You can use ROW() in your source table to get the row number and then use that in your pivot.

The row function doesn’t work, in doesn’t even work in regular excel table when you filter, all I want is simple line number, so if I filter by anything in that table like customer # etc. the line numbers should recalculate per the number of entries there are for that filter .
