Calculate based on account code for as at Trail Balance

Hai

I have 5 years data for both Balance Sheet account and Profit & Loss account. I would like to prepared Trail Balance "as at" which for Balance Sheet Account should calculate the figures from beginning till "as at" to calculate the balance (after plus and minus). However, for Profit & Loss Account, the calculation only for beginning of that particular year only, example if i want the trail balance up to Aug 2016, the Profit & Loss Account should calculate from Jan 2016 to Aug 2016 only but for Balance Sheet account should calculate from starting of the data, example Jan 2010 to Aug 2016.

Could you please post sample of your data and also show your expected results?

Agree we need to see some sample data, but perhaps look at using the SUMIFS() function for this?
