I have a column called End Date, I want to create a new column that is the End Date minus 7 days. Any way to do this?

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.

if your end date is column G and starts in cell 2, you can create your END-7 column in column H

Code:
=sum(G2-7)

  • Gives me an error

= Table.AddColumn(#"Renamed Columns2", "Custom", each sum([End Date]-7))

if you have a table of data (which you do) you should be able to insert the formula as typed to the column directly to the right of your table and it will automatically add it to the table and produce the desired result.

My original formula gets changed to =[@column9]-7

are you trying to do this with VBA?
