Hi! I'm currently trying to figure out how to make BI useful for my need but am stuck in the logic "What are things meant to be?".
I want my Desktop Power BI to get data from web, but not to replace previous data, just add this data to the previously added.
I also need this data to be added only by my prompt, ideally by pressing user button (like in excel). Is this possible or do I need to change something in my data construction logic?

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
No. it doesn't work this way. Powe BI is a reporting data base and always deletes all data and replaces it with a new set of data. You cannot incrementally add data directly into Power BI. You would need to create an interim storage data base, load the data from the web into the storage data base incrementally on demand, and then you can load into power BI from there
