    Home button

I'd like to use a Home button image on a button in a spreadsheet (Office 2010).
I think I can do it using the FileName operand of the OLEObjects.Add method, but I'm struggling to find an example of...

    Re: VIEWABLE, not VISIBLE!

In case anyone else wants this as a solution (???) to their own problem, here's a slightly modified error trapped version of shg's code which works for my application, but may need modification for...

    Re: VIEWABLE, not VISIBLE!

Rick - it's exactly what it says in the post. I was trying to avoid using VISIBLE, 'cos that's a Property. I mean it in the English sense - that which can be seen.

    With regard to shg's suggested...

    VIEWABLE, not VISIBLE!

    Hi Guys....

Does anyone know a way to discover which is the rightmost column IN VIEW in a Window showing an Excel Worksheet with column A as its leftmost column?

I'm visually impaired, so I use...

    Re: Is it time?

    Rick....

Thanks for the work you've put in - much appreciated, and I like the different approach, which mirrors some of my earlier thoughts which I wasn't sure how to execute.

    I've amended the...

    Re: Is it time?

Thanks Mark858. I'm sure this reference is helpful, but although I took Maths and Further Maths at A level in the '60s (19, not 18!), some (most?) of the grey cells have decayed, and I'm turning into...

    Re: Is it time?

Thanks Fluff - works like a dream!
The only problem is I don't know WHY it works. What do the first 10 digits of a date variable (or "IEEE 64-bit (8-byte) floating-point number") represent?
    I could...

    Re: Is it time?

Sorry KolGuyExcel – that was a cut-n-paste mismatch. It should have read “strResult”.

Fluff – I stuck the following code in to see what Excel thought the values were during each iteration.

Re: Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

I've already tried creating a delay. It doesn't work.

For reasons of security and confidentiality i cannot upload the Workbook.

I suspect the problem is caused by other code / settings, so I'll...

Re: Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

Having gone back to basics, I now need to ask what conditions are likely to impair a Workbook being minimised by VBA, then a Userform being displayed?

I have created a new Workbook. It has one...

Re: Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

All the detail you are asking for has been previously supplied. Your code is functionally identical to that which others have suggested, and which is failing.
I am running Excel as part of Microsoft...

Re: Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

If you read the original post the problem is stated there.
I want to open a workbook and get the workbook minimised whilst showing a Userform.
This is all in the original post.

Re: Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

    Jaafar....

Same problem. Looking at the manuals (yes, I've even been reduced to that pitiful state of desperation) the parameter "vbModeless" acts in the same way as "False".

Re: Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

Your suggested code is what I started out with, and the problem is that although the Form is shown, because it
    a) sets up a default radio button, and
    b) is modeless ...

Minimise the workbook and show a Userform

I'm trying to get Excel to show a Userform (frmControl) at startup, but with Excel minimised.
Having Excel minimised is not a mandatory requirement, but aesthetically it would be nice!

    frmControl...

Re: "Highlight" a radio button's text.

    "Highlight" a radio button's text.

This one should be easy, but I'm just going round in circles trying to fix a simple problem.
I have a Form, on which is a Frame within which are four radio buttons with their associated...

Odd behaviour in Excel VBA Editor.

Strictly speaking this isn't a "How do I" question, but it's a behaviour in the VBA Editor that is irritating, frustrating, and I wondered if it's peculiar to me.

    Locating nearest date match

    Hi guys....

I have a range on an Excel 2010 worksheet, currently B26:B208.
This range contains date values, each of which is generated by a cell formula which generates the date of the first day...
  24. Re: Last used row in a column containing a cell.

    Oh well, onwards and...
  25. Last used row in a column containing a cell.

    Hi again....

I've a horrible feeling I'm getting way too complex in a solution to a problem, and was wondering if I'm missing something blindingly obvious.

On a given Worksheet, I have a cell...
