Re: Sort table column left to right

That was why I asked what you would gain.
Appears to me you'll be scrolling horizontally to find the competitor you want. Could be a pain if lots of competitors.
    Think I'd have sorted the...

Re: Sort table column left to right

Will definitely put an end to any concern about auto filling to a newly added competitor.
  3. Re: TextBox dependent Unique ID (Count through multiple tables)

    Not necessarily.
I'd put another text box on the user form to hold the Unique ID and write it to the new row along with the other stuff.
Would populate this text box from _Afterupdate of the...

Re: Sort table column left to right

I realize that's what you want to do.
What I don't know is why, what will you gain from this ?

And if this is what you really need to accomplish that gain then Akuini's suggestion is the way to...

Re: Sort table column left to right

With everything in Excel there is usually more than one way to accomplish things.

Re: Fill right VBA is skipping over a column

To see if was a timing thing with your original "Competitor Comparison" sheet, I added a DoEvents, and a 5 second wait to the macro before doing the auto fill and it made no difference.

    I even...

Re: Update cell after update from userform

Re: Update cell after update from userform

Writing textbox54 to the sheet is the same as loading textbox53 except
for 53 the textbox equals the sheet cell and for 54 the sheet cell equals the textbox.

    Re: Update a combo box

I'm afraid that has me stumped.

The first time the form is opened, both typing into the combo box or selecting from the drop down trigger the _Change event,
but after opening the form a second...

    Re: Update a combo box

I'm guessing you're hiding frmPOS instead of unloading it. If not I have no idea what's going on.

    Re: Update a combo box

Show frmNewClient then unload frmPOS and move frmPOS.show to a sub in frmNewClient

    Re: Auto serial number

One way would be to use a formula for the Num's in column "B"
    =Row() - 4
and when adding write the formula instead of an actual number to column B

    Re: vba code

That's a little sparse on info, but maybe something along the lines of

    cell.Resize(, howevermanycolumns).ClearContents
  17. Re: Another day another wrinkle- Choose last instance of phrase and delete rest of rows

Hmmm... that's still about 8 minutes with things moved from the IQP sheet into memory to be worked with.
I'd have expected a much greater improvement than that.
    Have a suspicion I don't handle the...
  18. Re: Another day another wrinkle- Choose last instance of phrase and delete rest of rows

Out of curiosity, any time improvement ?
  19. Re: Another day another wrinkle- Choose last instance of phrase and delete rest of rows

    I regret posting that macro.

If you're wanting assistance please share a workbook of what you tried and what you tried it with.
  20. Re: Filling formulas over to the right into a new column added

    What I did:
via input box added competitor_16, it was X:X should have been W:W
Selected entire columns R, S & T together and deleted them
via input box added competitor_15 back in.
    now adding...

  22. Re: Another day another wrinkle- Choose last instance of phrase and delete rest of rows

also, for the fifth sheet, column 27 is of no concern ?
  23. Re: Another day another wrinkle- Choose last instance of phrase and delete rest of rows

    Question...
after 15 minutes of plugging away, how many rows are typically copied to each of the 5 sheets ?
  24. Re: Filling formulas over to the right into a new column added
