    Just try it! File --> Save As Other --> Spreadsheet.
  2. Re: Adding info from one sheet to another by matching vendor numbers

    So, maybe the vendor data looks like like this?

    <colgroup><col style="width:48pt" width="64" span="2"> </colgroup><tbody>
    Vendor #
    Tax ID

    11111
    201
  3. Re: Adding info from one sheet to another by matching vendor numbers

    This is difficult to show you without seeing specifics, like some row and column data and where you want the result. It's most likely a VLOOKUP, but that's an uninformed guess.
  4. Re: Percentage multiplication and subtraction

    The formula is just as you typed it: C24*75%-B7-B11-b15
  5. Re: extracting number from text string and doing calculations

    I agree w/Michael: it sounds like a class assignment. Are the four sums: 1120, 720, 1160, and 1120? Try it by hand and see what you should get.

    I don't agree w/your second number and suspect...
  6. Re: Can someone help me with this? Probably a beginner level formula.

    Doesn't my last formula (without the restrictions on the rows) do that?

    <b>Excel 2010</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: rgb(255,255,255);border: 1px...
  7. Re: Can someone help me with this? Probably a beginner level formula.

    You might also put an I column next to your criteria table and use this: =IF(ISBLANK(H5),SUMIFS(D:D,B:B,F5,C:C,G5),SUMIFS(D:D,B:B,F5,C:C,G5,A:A,H5)) in I5.
  8. Re: Can someone help me with this? Probably a beginner level formula.

    Am I over-simplifying what you want with this: =SUMIFS(D4:D12,B4:B12,F5,C4:C12,G5) which will exclude the flavor and just look for the date and location match.

    Or, if the table increases: ...
  9. Re: Delete Rows Where Column A Does Not Equal a Number or Numeric Value

    How about:

    Sub DelNonNums()
    Dim LR As Long, i As Integer
    LR = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row
    For i = LR To 1 Step -1
    If Not (IsNumeric(Cells(i, 1))) Then
    Rows(i).EntireRow.Delete

    Re: flash fill vba for excel 2010

    It appears to work in VBA. I put what looked like social security numbers in A1:A4 (without any dashes) and this flashfilled them

    Sub FFvba()
    Cells(1, 2) = "123-45-6789"
    Dim rng As Range
    Set...

    Re: Dependent drop menu with formula

    My issue is how do column A and/or column B influence the weight lookup to determine the value?

    If the Rate sheet looks like this and you enter a weight of, say, 275, the value is $400.

    General style question

    Wouldn't it be advisable to avoid using a lower case "L" for, say, a loop when it (l) looks too much like the number 1?
  14. Re: If cell contains data, then copy value from another cell only if it also contains data

    How about:

    =IF(AND(B2<>"",B5<>""),B2,"")
  15. Re: adding $ before a number vs selecting currency/accounting format

    Both currency and accounting add 2 decimal places whereas when you type a leading $, no decimal places are added. Commas are inserted thousands, however.
    If you do this, then examine the Format...

    Re: I want to know the formula for a problem

    Typing error. G2 should be: =IF(AND($A2>15,$A2<=20),$F2*12000,"")

    By the way, you didn't say what should happen if the days were >20
