    Re: GetSaveAsFilename corrupts spreadsheet

Yes you’ll need an if statement based on the selected file extension.

    Re: GetSaveAsFilename corrupts spreadsheet

It’s nothing to do with that. You’re specifying a file format of 56 which is for xls files. You need 51 and 52 for xlsx and xlsm respectively.

Re: CUBEMEMBER / CUBEVALUE dates query

How would the formula look with a fixed value? You'll probably need to use the TEXT function to format K1 appropriately.
  4. Re: Run time error 1004 in VBA Code - the password you supplied is not correct

Manually unprotect all the sheets, then try that code again.

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

Again, that suggests that your form does not have an Image control on it, or if it does, it's not called Image1.
  6. Re: How to pass UDF with ParamArray to a Range?

Yes. As I said, you don't need a ParamArray argument if you're just going to pass one range. If you insist on using the ParamArray, you'll need two loops - one through that and one through all the...

Re: Passing a variable to a pivot filter.

    Try just:

    .PivotItems("" & [CandID_Picker]).Visible = True

although if you've just cleared all filters, I don't know why it wouldn't already be visible.

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

You can't send the file, though you could upload it to Dropbox/OneDrive or some other sharing site and put a link back here. It shouldn't be necessary at this stage though.

    If you type Me....

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

It sounds like you don't have an Image control on the form, or it's been renamed.
  10. Re: How to pass UDF with ParamArray to a Range?

You don't need a paramarray argument if that's all you're going to pass to it. Use a simple Range or Variant.
  11. Re: Run time error 1004 in VBA Code - the password you supplied is not correct

It's the only thing that causes that error.

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

In your VB Editor, click Tools - Options, then on the General tab, change the Error Trapping section to the 'Break in class module' option, then OK out and run the original code again. Which line is...
  13. Re: Run time error 1004 in VBA Code - the password you supplied is not correct

The error message seems fairly clear. One or more of the sheets must have been protected with a different password.

Re: Show Custom Ribbon as default item on startup

That will make it the first tab in the Ribbon, but it won't activate it by default when the workbook opens, which was the thrust of the question.

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

I can't access that link either.

What code do you have in the Userform_Initialize event and/or Userform_Activate event?

    Re: formatting

You'd have to convert the actual cell value. 830 is not the same as 8:30 since Excel stores times as fractions of 1. Why do you need to do this?

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

Are you sure there is still a form called UserForm1 in that workbook? The file/path error is often an indication of corruption, by the way.

Re: Teacher In Urgent Need of Help

It looks like you haven't granted access to the content at that link. Perhaps you could just post the code and tell us which line causes the error.

Re: If ... then or Select Case ?

I very much doubt you'd notice any difference. I recall reading many years ago that If...Then was slightly quicker but I suspect the difference would be negligible. It may depend on the nature of how...
  20. Re: VBA Pivot Table Grand Total Show Detail - Error message "Run-time error '424': Object Required"

It should be ActiveSheet.Pivottables(1) not ActiveSheet.Pivottable(1)
  21. Re: Convert SUMIF formula to SUMPRODUCT as SUMIF doesnt work in closed workbook reference

I'd have to see the file then, I think. Can you put it on a sharing site like OneDrive or Dropbox?
  22. Re: Excel chart- replace line marker with number

Yes, you can add data labels, format them with white fill and choose Center for the position.
  23. Re: Convert SUMIF formula to SUMPRODUCT as SUMIF doesnt work in closed workbook reference

Then I'd suspect that you have numbers stored as text in one file and not the other. SUMIFS would automatically convert them when calculating, but SUMPRODUCT won't. Are those numbers right- or...
  24. Re: Convert SUMIF formula to SUMPRODUCT as SUMIF doesnt work in closed workbook reference

Hard to answer without seeing the data. Are any of the criteria numbers?
  25. Re: Convert SUMIF formula to SUMPRODUCT as SUMIF doesnt work in closed workbook reference

That would suggest it is returning 0.
