    Easiest option would be to get rid of the checkboxes & get the user to insert an X (or a Y or N) into the cell & then you can use the Change Event.

    Yes, but are there values on those rows that need to remain where they are, so for instance if "Balance Forward" is in I15 do you have anything in (say) K15,N15 that need to stay in those cells?

    No it's not a "Bug"
    You have named ranges on the sheet which are set to workbook scope and you can only have one instance of a workbook scoped name.
