    Re: Looping through an Array

Thanks for the add, I knew array actually start with 0, if that's what you're trying to tell me. The problem I'm suffering now is I haven't gained any speed loops through 26K rows or making an array...

    Looping through an Array

I'm trying to use an array instead of a range so I can loop through it more efficiently. I thought I understood the various documentation I researched but can't get it to work. Here's my set up/code:...
  5. VBA alternative to Index Match **Make it better**

So I created a UDF that behaves like MATCH or INDEX MATCH but only on one criteria. I wish I knew enough to redesign it to function on unlimited criteria (within reason obviously). Here it is:

    ...
  6. Re: Index Match multiple criteria ANY match

Maybe the issue is I am using full ranges since I can never know last row. This doesn't work, returns #N/A if I don't provide every criteria to match.
    ...
  7. Re: Index Match multiple criteria ANY match

tried that but doesn't always return the correct row. I'd expect it to return the row of the first exact match of all criteria or any criteria
  8. Index Match multiple criteria ANY match

So, I understand how this formula works, not requiring an array (ctrl+shift+enter) but it is an exact match formula. All criteria must match.
How can I make it work if ANY of the criteria are...
  9. Re: UserForm: Enter a number for the line to which the data goes

It shouldn't matter whether dropdown or textbox. But let's match against the entire column so that the row number returned will be the actual row number. From there you can easily offset or...
  10. Re: VBA to pull reference a different worksheet

    2 potentials:

    1) Make a "personal" macro and load it on everyone's computer, which would allow them to work with their individual companies using a single-tab workbook.
    2) Have the "tool" macro...
  11. Re: Fill 3rd combobox based on value of previous two

    look into application.index(rangeofresults, application.match(combo1&2selection, rangeofcombos,0))
Then you can use that to return the result.
  12. Re: UserForm: Enter a number for the line to which the data goes

application.match(lotnum, range,0) will return the row number

Re: Detect if Reference Workbook is Open

Ok I can work with this thanks. Testing shows that I can't simply put the link into the Formulatext part, I have to reference another cell, but it will still work.

Detect if Reference Workbook is Open

I've seen VBA solutions to detect if a reference workbook is open, but is there a formulaic solution without using a UDF?
    Thanks

    Re: Sheet Focus

It has something to do with the userform because if I close it, everything reverts correctly. UGH!!! I want my userform hahaha

    Re: Sheet Focus

Actually now it seems to be consistently failing. Since it is reverting to a sheet within the Workbook where the actual macro/userform is housed, I suspect that is a clue. Still looking

    Re: Sheet Focus

No, it just selects cells on one sheet while the cursor moves around in cells on the other sheet.

I think I fixed it with this:

    AppActivate wwbk.Application
    Windows(wwsh.Parent.Name).Activate...
