    Re: Cleaning Data - HELP!

    Simple question really....post the sample dataset, in the first post AFTER your lines had been deleted.
    That way we see a before and after result...

    But I see Akuini has given you a...

    Re: Cleaning Data - HELP!

    There seems to be more questions than answers !!
    Can you post the above data set AFTER the lines are deleted /
    and
    Is the data sorted ?
  4. Re: Run time error 1004 in VBA Code - the password you supplied is not correct

    You could Unprotect ALL sheets with code

    Sub MM1()
    Dim ws As Worksheet
    For Each ws In Worksheets
    With ws
    .Unprotect "SSE"
    End With
    Next ws
    End Sub
  5. Re: Run time error 1004 in VBA Code - the password you supplied is not correct

    Review Tab >> Changes >> Unprotect sheet >> Input password.
    Makes sure that Caps lock isn't on !

    Re: Young whiz brain required

    Not sure that I follow, but could you not simply run a timer macro say every hour or 2 hours
    Maybe

    If your macro is called MM1

    Insert in 1st line of code in MM1

    Application.OnTime Now +...
  8. Re: Hide Multiple number of rows based on a value

    Ok, if line 1000 is fixed you can use

    Sub MM1()
    Dim S As Range
    Set S = Sheets("Summary").Range("H10")
    Sheets("Testing Records").Rows(S+1 & ":1000").EntireRow.Hidden = True
    End Sub
  9. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    There is nothing in that code that affects the colour that i can see !!
  10. Re: Hide Multiple number of rows based on a value

    How about

    Sub MM1()
    Dim lr As Long, r As Long, S As Range
    lr = Sheets("Testing Records").Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row
    Set S = Sheets("Summary").Range("H10")
    Sheets("Testing...
  11. Re: Hide Multiple number of rows based on a value

    Is 1000 an arbitary amount.....I'm assuming it is the last row of data on the "Testing" sheet ?
  12. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    The code I provided should only affect the Dest worksheet AND only the font, not the cell colour ??
  13. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    what colour are the rows around it ??
  14. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    OK....glad it worked...:beerchug:
  15. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    try this slight mod

    lr = .Cells(Rows.Count, "F").End(xlUp).Row
    For r = 1 To lr
    If .Range("F" & r).Value = "Yir" Then .Range("F" & r).EntireRow.Font.ColorIndex = 3
    ...
  16. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    Why did you modify this line ?

    Range("F" & r).EntireRow.Font.ColorIndex = -65383

    colorindex needs to be a number between 1 - 56, although it is probably a greater number on later versions !!
  17. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    thinking !!!

    OK, replace the code that is giving us problems with the original code I posted
    Put it in the same location

    Sub MM1()
    Dim lr As Long, r As Long
    lr = Cells(Rows.Count,...
  18. Re: why am I not allowed to post attachments? Can I include a picture or image in my post?

    This forum doesn't allow posting of attachments.
    Try using either one of the options here
    https://www.mrexcel.com/forum/about-board/508133-attachments.html

    OR

    upload the worksheet / workbook...
  19. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    try changing the cell reference ( in red) to say F1
    Also, this code is Case sensitive, so "Yir" can't be "YIR" or "yir"

    With .Range("F4:F" & Cells(Rows.Count, "F").End(xlUp).Row)
    ...
  20. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    Have you stepped through the code using F8 to make sure
    1. the code autofilters correctly
    2. there are visible rows to be coloured

    Re: How to fix these dates?

    The link suggests they are simply left aligned ?
    Is there a leading apostrophe in the Text dates ?
    Put this formula in col "B" and copy down....if they are a date it will return true

    ...
  22. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    Ok, if the search starts in F4, change to

    With .Range("F4:F" & Cells(Rows.Count, "F").End(xlUp).Row)
    .AutoFilter Field:=1, Criteria1:="Yir"
    .Range("F4:F" &...
  23. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    The search is supposed to start at F2 isn't it ??
    If there is no value of "Yir" in the column what error do you get ??
  24. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    I would have thought you would be able to adjust this yourself now Dave !
    And you did ask for the entire row to be coloured, not the text.
    Ok change the segment to

    With .Range("F2:F" &...
  25. Re: VBA to see if a column contains a certain string

    Try inserting here....UNTESTED

    Sub cmdCopy()
    Dim wsDst As Worksheet, wsSrc As Worksheet, tblrow As ListRow
    Dim Combo As String, sht As Worksheet, tbl As ListObject
    Dim...
