    Re: Return Lookup based on range cell

    You don't specify what to do if the number of days exceeds 14 so I'll assume they get one more discount point.

    The 3-7 and 8-14 are tricky to decode so you can just use the bottom end of the range...

  8. Re: Conditional Formating Required for changing Dates based on 2 different cell dates

    Hi salsy,

    You have three colors so you'll need three rules. The red, green, purple rules are:

    =AND($A2 <> "",$A2 < TODAY(),$B2 < TODAY())

    =AND($A2 <> "",$A2 <= TODAY(),$B2 >= TODAY())
    ...
  9. Re: Help! Trying to pull historical employee data based on a date range.

    Hi livesmiley,

    You don't say how many rows of data you have so I'm checking every row on the sheet. The formula will run faster if you limit the row range.

    Here's the historical data sheet. No...

  11. Re: HELP! Formula to identify text in one cell and group in in a new tab?

    I thought I should provide some explanation.

    Monday is Sheet 2 so =TEXT(SHEET(),"dddd") shows the second day of the week, Monday.

  12. Re: HELP! Formula to identify text in one cell and group in in a new tab?

    Is this what you're looking for?

    Here's the first tab called "Data" which has a list off to one side for the LoV selection of each cell. There's no formulae here, just the Data Validation entries...

    Re: Date ranges in excel

    You didn't supply any sample data so I'm guessing your data set 1 is in decimal hours for which I added a column.

    Re: Date ranges in excel

    You could add a column to data set 1 to see if the date was "in London" then do a total of Billable and Non-Billable.
