    As I expected. But good to have confirmation. Thanks!
  2. Re: Power BI Measure - calculate on two columns in same table

    Sorry. I didn't see the PowerBI part of the thread title. I believe if you click on the measure in the field list, you can view the formula in the formula bar.

    With respect to the calculator icon...
  3. Re: Power BI Measure - calculate on two columns in same table

    Alright, so if it has a sigma sign next to the field in the PivotTable field list, then it is a measure, not a column. You cannot use it in a SUM function. If you want to add them together, just use...
  4. Re: Power BI Measure - calculate on two columns in same table

    What do you mean by:

    Are [Metric] and [Metric2] columns or measures? If they are measures, then you do not need to refer to Table1 or use SUM:
    Total Days:=[Metric]+[Metric2]
  5. Re: Power BI Measure - calculate on two columns in same table

    SUM can only take one column at a time, so you have to use:

    Total Days:=SUM(Table1[Metric])+SUM(Table1[Metric2])
  6. Power Query: Reference specific step of another query

    Greetings Power Users,

    In Power Query, there is an option to Reference one query in another. So if I have QueryA with 5 steps:

    Source
    Step1
    Step2

    Formula for column D is...

    You're welcome. The course is an introduction to Power Query and Power Pivot and assumes an understanding of Excel already.

  14. Re: I am in need of adding AND to this IF Formula

    Hi Mark,

    Your SUMIFS formula looks correct to me. I've also been able to recreate this based on some sample data using names ranges just like you have done. Works perfectly.

    Are your ranges...
  15. Re: HELP! ANYBODY! KEep getting skipped over! I NEED HELP

    I have no doubt that someone else here can come up with a VBA solution to this. I am not well versed in VBA and can't help you with that.

    However, I really think you should be reconsidering how...

    Hello and Welcome.

  20. Re: Populate Data Using Given Variables, NON-VBA

    Is PowerQuery an option? If I understand your requirement correctly, this is not too difficult to implement if PQ is an option.

    You can record a macro to copy and paste values. Are you familiar with macros or would you like more help?
