Re: Using Option Button to Set Variable

Oh my gosh, I forgot to include OutName at the end of FileName. It works! Thank you so much for the suggestion to add all the code within the user form, I never would've thought to do it that way!

Re: Using Option Button to Set Variable

The subfolders will actually be "Completed RI Reports\FCAD Completed RI Reports" and "...\PDL Completed RI Reports" but I changed that as needed. Turns out the problem I was having with the code you...

Re: Using Option Button to Set Variable

I just did, and I get the same run-time error. Debug highlights the following line of code:

    ActiveSheet.ExportAsFixedFormat _
    Type:=xlTypePDF, _
    FileName:=FPath & OutName,...

Re: Using Option Button to Set Variable

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I would still prefer to go with the userform since the msgbox method could a) cause confusion for new users who don't understand the yes/no options, and b) make it...

Re: Using Option Button to Set Variable

I'll just go ahead and post the entire code for both the command button and the userform. Before adding the line "UserForm1.Hide" nothing would happen after making a selection, the userform would...

Re: Using Option Button to Set Variable

Ok I think I mostly understand, but how do I actually close the UserForm and continue running the module it was opened from?

Using Option Button to Set Variable

I've got a command button that prints my workbook to a PDF with a specified filename and location, but I've been asked to add the option to save to one of two folders (without being able to browse to...
  9. Re: Multiple Charts from One Pivot Table Without Loosing Pivot C

If you record a macro while setting the formatting, you should be able to place that code in the Worksheet_PivotTableUpdate subroutine and tweak it to your specific needs. That way, any time the...
  10. Re: Excel chart: group by month, cluster by department, stack by type

Apparently not, I guess Google Photos doesn't work as an image hosting site. I tried making a crude representation out of typed characters, but all the white space got removed when I hit "preview...

I'm not sure if this is going to work, but here goes....

Re: Plotting grand total on pivot chart

I'm trying to do something similar. Basically my pivot chart is clustered by month, but in the axis label next to each month I'd like it to display the grand total for that month. Is that something...

Re: Export multiple Excel Sheets to PDF

Looks like I'm almost a decade late to this party, but I just finished putting together a sub that exports all visible sheets to a single PDF so I thought I'd share it here in case others come...
  14. Re: Cancel printing based on another macro

That did the trick, thanks! I'd heard that method mentioned elsewhere, but I think seeing an example really helped. Pretty sure I just had the syntax of the function wrong when I tried it before, so...
  15. Excel chart: group by month, cluster by department, stack by type

I'm sure I've got some of the terminology wrong, but here's basically what I'm trying to do. I have a table of data with three fields I want to use in a chart: date issued, department, and type.

  16. Cancel printing based on another macro

I've got a subroutine 'Print_Report' that calls another subroutine 'Check_Fields' and basically, if certain cells are empty then 'Check_Fields' exits the subroutine, but 'Print_Report' continues to...
  17. Re: Is there any way to check whether an option button has been checked?

That was it! So it looks like I needed to account for the fact that I was using ActiveX option buttons, and once I did that I was just forgetting the ".Object" portion of the code. Thanks!
  18. Re: Is there any way to check whether an option button has been checked?

The worksheet is just named "Sheet1" and the option button is named "OptionButton1"

Here's my current code. I've been testing your methods by just looking at one option button instead of all five,...
  19. Re: Is there any way to check whether an option button has been checked?

I didn't change the default name, and I don't think I used ActiveX Controls. But just in case, I tried changing the code and now the error I get says "Run-time error '438': Object doesn't support...
  20. Re: Is there any way to check whether an option button has been checked?

That's interesting that it adds spaces in the option button name, even if the actual name doesn't have spaces. Unfortunately I still get the same error when I include the spaces.
  21. Re: Is there any way to check whether an option button has been checked?

That gives me a different error. "Run-time error '1004': Unable to get the OptionButtons property of the Worksheet class"
  22. Is there any way to check whether an option button has been checked?

I'm trying to create a form where, if certain fields are blank, it prevents the user from printing I got most of the code to work, but I can't manage to figure out how to check whether an option...

    Re: For loop through array

Yeah sorry about that, I didn't realize I would be changing the layout of the worksheet when I first posted this question. I'll try to give the simplest example I can. I originally had "part number"...
