  1. Re: Copy down process - how to translate it into macro

Yes, you can do something like this:

    Sub CopyDown()

    Dim col as String

col = InputBox("Please enter the last column")

    Columns("A:" & col).Select...
  2. Re: Macro to check if a cell has been filled in if cell next to it is?

    Try this:

    Sub MyCheckingMacro()

    Dim cell As Range
    Dim msg As String

msg = "Missing entries from cells: "

    For Each cell In Range("AH52:AH252")
  3. Re: Access: Add AutoNumber firld to a Table using VBA

    Just a note:

With a MAKE TABLE query, you are kind of at the mercy of Access, it sets the fields up as it thinks it should be (which may not always be what you want).
What I often do instead of a...
  4. Re: Copy down process - how to translate it into macro

Then please explain the logic we would need to use (in plain English) for deciding which columns to include.
Are there certain headers to include/not include?

Re: Function kicking error with two workbooks

When you hit "Debug", which line of code is highlighted?

Where and how is this Function being used?
In VBA, or in a formula on the sheet?
Please post the code/formula that uses it.
  6. Re: Macro to check if a cell has been filled in if cell next to it is?

How/when would you like this macro to run?
Are they going to be calling it/running it manually, or would you like it to somehow be automated?
If automated, we need to know what should trigger it to...
  7. Re: Copy down process - how to translate it into macro

You can dynamically find the last row and column, and use that.
    So replace this:

    Columns("A:B").Select
    with this:

    Dim lrow As Long
    Dim lcol As Long

    lrow =...
  8. Re: VBA: Copy rows from one workbook to specific rows in another

I found a few old links which discuss how to locate the last used row in a table (which is a little different than finding last used row in a column)....

Re: Access: Combo Box with only unique values

One way is to group the records via an Aggregate Query.
You do this by grouping by all the fields in your Select clausei.e.

    SELECT [qry_vluVendorAddress].[VendorName],...

    Re: Mandatory cell input

    Try this:

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

    If Target.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub

    '***Code block 1***
' Check to see if B6 is populated
    If Len(Range("B6")) = 0...

    Re: if then statment

Did you take a look at the link I provided in my first reply?
Here is one that might be a little better, as they hard-code the dates right in the formula (instead of using cell references that hold...

    Re: if then statment

Conditional Formatting can only run off of values, not off of other formatting.
If the dates in column A are turned green by Conditional Formatting, you should just be able to use the same...

    Re: if then statment

    Welcome to the Board!

You can use SUMIFS to do that.
See here for details on how to do that with a date range: https://exceljet.net/formula/sum-if-date-is-between
  15. Re: VBA: Copy rows from one workbook to specific rows in another

I don't work much with tables.
    Is it a blank table?
Do you need to first insert blank rows into the table before pasting data into it (otherwise, wouldn't you be posting data after the end of the...

    Re: Mandatory cell input

You don't combine them. That is a totally different procedure (Worksheet_Calculate vs. Worksheet_Change).
You just paste my code below what you already have there.
  19. Re: VBA - Do stuff based on a value in a merged cell

VBA does not like merged cells at all.
I have seen people sometimes able to work around it, but in order do that, we probably need to know the exact location of the merged cells, so we can try to...
  20. Re: VBA - Do stuff based on a value in a merged cell

Merged cells cause all sort of issues for Excel, especially for things like VBA. As such, it is HIGHLY recommended that you not use them at all.
If you are just merging cells across a row, you can...
  21. Re: VBA: Copy rows from one workbook to specific rows in another

You can find the first available row (after the last populated row) in any column like this (this example for column A):

To set it equal to a number, broken out in multiple steps for illustration...

Re: [VBA] Only run macro in certain column

I made the one modification to your code:

    Sub DeleteRows()

    On Error Resume Next
    For Each WS In Sheets
    With WS.Columns("A:A")
    .Replace "*Remove*", "#N/A",...
  24. Re: Formula for if time is same, earlier or later?

Regarding the time of 12:00 AM, that would be a date/time number with no time piece, so the fractional part would be zero.
So, to get it to be greater than all the the other ones, you could add one...
  25. Re: Formula for if time is same, earlier or later?

Is that the only remainining issue?
If not, and there others, please change the format of all the time columns to "mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm" and post the data again, and let us know which row isn't working....
