  1. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

    Hi Rick,

Both codes work perfectly and both ran 10k of rows instantaneously.

Thanks once again to you both!
  2. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

    Hi Peter,

It was my turn for a mistake - I had been using the old code. It works a treat! Thanks for your time on this.

Rick - I haven't had a chance to test your new code yet - I shall give...
  3. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

    Hi Rick,

This copies across the results to columns A to I in sheet 2 rather than to AE to AM.
I need the entire row copied across if keyword is found as there is data in the other columns that...
  4. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

Hmmm I am afraid we are back to nothing copying across again?

Thanks for your help with this - it now copies across perfectly.

There is one last remaining issue that doesn't quite work as requested. Each time I run a new search it wipes over what has...

  7. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

    I found out the problem.

The data in columns AE:AM contains various keywords but after the majority of them it contains a semi colon and a number eg Science;13 or Team Building;9.

    When I tested...
  8. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

Sadly nothing is copying across now?
  9. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

This was a lot quicker! However it seems to pick up extra rows. From what I can see it is where there are blanks in some of the columns it is searching.

    Thanks
    Mike
  10. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

Thanks Peter for your help and apologies for the confusion - I made a typo in yesterday's message.

I would like to search 9 columns. AE to AM

The ultimate goal is to copy.

    Thanks
  11. Re: Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

    Hi Peter,

I was working on this today and I have merged some code I have found to (I believe) find a solution.
To answer your questions. The search term would only have to happen once for it...
  12. Cut row to new sheet if text is found within multiple columns

    Hi all,

I currently use conditional formatting for this task - but I am finding myself needing to do this more often so wished to set up a VBA rather than use a long winded work around. In the...
