    Hi there

Am hoping someone could point me in the right direction with a quick one.

  5. Re: Create Initials list from a list of names

Thanks for the explanation Eric, that is now working.
    Much appreciated.
  6. Re: Create Initials list from a list of names

Thanks Eric, the CONCAT formula returns the first letter of the first word, which I guess I could just do with a LEFT formula.
Do I have something wrong to return subsequent capitals?

    Again,...
  7. Re: Create Initials list from a list of names

Thank you Eric, appreciate the quick reply.
I am hoping to automate it rather than have a manual step, and I do have CONCAT?
  8. Create Initials list from a list of names

    Hi

Is there a way to either extract just the Capitals from a name list, or use the space to extract the first letter of each name?

    In cell A2 Adam Simpson
    In cell A3 Jan...
  9. Re: Using a countdown timer in a cell to run a macro

That should be AA9:AB60 this first time I take the snapshot, then AD9:AE60 the next and then AG9:AE60 etc.

    Hi there

At various times during the day I need to take a snapshot of data totals in a spreadsheet.

    Timestamp a worksheet tab?

    Hi

At various points during the day I run a macro to take a copy of a worksheet to show work processed up to that point in the day.

So I start the day with the single sheet that takes in the...

    Hi

I have a range of results in A1:F12 as below, and what I want to do is rounddown the largest number to no decimal places, and then work out how many cells have a number equal or greater than...

    Thanks again

  18. Re: Returning totals based on values in another column

Thanks Aladin, it is the total of Col B for each day where Col C is negative that I am looking to return, rather than the negative values themselves.
  19. Re: Returning totals based on values in another column

Many thanks eduzs for such a quick reply.

Is there a way to link the DATEVALUE to a cell value to find the date to look for?

ie can I have a column for date and have the formula refer to that...

Re: Combine 30+ single sheet workbooks

Apologies, I have no idea what that means.

All of the source workbooks have data in column A and that column has the same number of rows completed as all other columns.
    In the first source book...

Re: Combine 30+ single sheet workbooks

Thanks, with that change it still cycles through the workbooks, but then just highlights rows 2 & 3 only in the combined book without bringing anything in.

Re: Combine 30+ single sheet workbooks

    Thanks Mark

Running it from a workbook outside of the folder, it does now cycle through all of the workbooks in the folder, but then just highlights the cell range A2:IV000 in the combined book...

Re: Combine 30+ single sheet workbooks

I had created a new workbook in the same folder to use as the combined sheet, but it doesn't seem to like it?
