  2. How use Hyperlink() function with worksheet names that contain double-quotes

How do I specify the worksheet name to the HYPERLINK() function when the worksheet name contains a double-quote? Is there a way to "escape" the double-quote somehow?

    The sheet I'm having trouble...
  3. Re: Removing double spacing (multiple CR's) from a group of cells

    Thanks.
  4. Re: Removing double spacing (multiple CR's) from a group of cells

Yes. The cell contains carriage returns (chr(13)) and I want to be able to replace all chr(13) & chr(13) with chr(13) for the currently selected Excel cells.
  5. Removing double spacing (multiple CR's) from a group of cells

I have a colleague in Paris who is running Excel 2010 under Windows/ Parallels on a Mac.

  10. VB[A] Way to force new workbook to be in xlsx format?

    I'm automating Excel through COM.

  11. Re: R1C1 notation in non-English versions of Excel

Thanks but it's old code and there's lots of it. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to change it.
  12. Re: R1C1 notation in non-English versions of Excel

That may be because you're using VBA. I believe VBA does everything in en-US behind the scenes. .NET is finicky about the culture.
  13. Re: R1C1 notation in non-English versions of Excel

    Got it.

The following .NET expression produces "R1C2" in English or whatever's appropriate if Excel is running in a different language.

  14. R1C1 notation in non-English versions of Excel

The following code generates an error when run with the Portuguese (pr-BR culture) version of Excel 2007.

Re: What is this format: ge \r\al

It turns out "Geral" is Portuguese for "General". I have some code that is trying format a range as General and suspect there's a language / culture mismatch somewhere.

  17. Re: Find: What's the difference between Search By Rows and Search By Columns

I see. I guess it only comes into play if you are going to do a Find Next.

    Thanks!
  18. Find: What's the difference between Search By Rows and Search By Columns

What's the difference between Search By Rows and Search By Columns in Excel's Find options? I'm not sure what these options are used for and I can't seem to google the answer.

    Thanks!
  19. Is there a Find Next (F3) shortcut key in Excel?

    I'm using Excel 2010 x64.

  23. Re: VBA: Check if a workbook has macros without having the "Trust access to VBA project" option checked?

As I suspected, you can't access the VBProject object if the trust access to VBA Project option is not set.

I'm going to take a different approach.

    Thanks guys.
  24. Re: VBA: Check if a workbook has macros without having the "Trust access to VBA project" option checked?

Thanks but I think I tried that approach but wasn't able to access the VBProject object because of the security setting. I'll double check.
  25. Re: VBA: Check if a workbook has macros without having the "Trust access to VBA project" option checked?

Thanks but I'm not trying to determine if macros are enabled. Rather, I'm trying to determine if a workbook has macros. The simple way of doing this would appear to be using the VBProject object but...
