  1. Re: VBA macro running slow/crashing when autofilling with a UDF

Yes I do. After each line I even wait for 3 seconds to give the google formula the chance to find a solution, otherwise I get a lot of zeroes.
  2. Re: VBA macro running slow/crashing when autofilling with a UDF

Can confirm crashing after filling in the so-called G_Distance formula.
I've got a very simple macro that takes two postal codes and city names and adds the G_Distance formula (Google Distance) in...

    Re: Users!!

Sorry for reviving this old thing, but today I had the bookkeeping shouting at me 'your f###ing Excel doesn't work'.

    Re: Dave Hawley

I don't roam much in here any more, but this is sad news indeed. Ozgrid learned me lots of Excel stuff.

Accidentally I met a former client (from a company I worked for) two weeks ago who told me...

I have got an XLS page (Q.xls) that opens in Excel 2007 and contains some VBA.

The VBA opens a text file, parses and saves the data in a temporary Excel file (Qtemp.xls) and sends that page as an...

Re: Dynamic chart for 30 days

I managed to make it work, if only that 2010 chart ribbon wouldn't be such a pain you know where!

It took me a while before I found where exactly to put the "=Sheet1!chtValA" command...

Re: Dynamic chart for 30 days

I need to do exactly the same today. I have used the Peltier tutorial (http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/DynamicLast12.html) but can't get it to work in Excel 2010.
Once I put the dynamic names...

    Re: 25 yearsof Excel

Excellent article, 25 years already, I'm really getting old! (I used to work with Excel on DOS a century ago.)
  13. Re: saveas run time error 1004 after sendmail

Previous method didn't help. SendMail & Redirected Folders will bug the macro as it fails to change directory (it stays in Office12 after SendMail).

Solution: not using SendMail but Outlook object...
  14. Re: saveas run time error 1004 after sendmail

Solved: adding Outlook Object Library and some seconds of waiting time (between changing directories) did the trick.
  15. Re: saveas run time error 1004 after sendmail

By putting the MyDocuments path in a variable i am able to open, close and save in the redirected My Documents folder.

But at the second run in the loop I got the folliwng pop up (when attempting...
  16. Re: saveas run time error 1004 after sendmail

I did some testing on this macro and it appears that I am stuck in the OFFICE12 folder, unable to change it with CHDIR, CHDRIVE or whatever.

ABCTemp.xls is located at the MyDocuments folder on...
  17. Re: saveas run time error 1004 after sendmail

Yes, I manually stepped through the macro (well at least where it gives the error) and it doesn't matter if I go slow or not.

I think the problem could be on the 'redirected folders' on the...
  18. saveas run time error 1004 after sendmail

I have an Excel 2000 macro (that runs smoothly on Excel 2000) but that creates a 1004 run time error in Excel 2007 but only if certain conditions are met.

Basically it is a text parser that...

  21. Re: Copy PIctures from and place in cells

  22. Re: Copy PIctures from and place in cells

I just tried above code to copy/pase and reposition an image through vba but the bit

gives a syntax error on my Excel 2000.
