  1. Re: Formula - Return True if any duplicate numbers

    Just wondering, how did this question essentially differ from this one you asked a few days ago?
    Any follow-up should have been posted in the same thread.
  2. Re: Help with duplicate values move horizontally

    Just re-reading this thread and noticed that you originally asked for a formula to do this.
    If you are interested, that can be done & for this I have assumed a heading row with data starting in row...

    Re: Get array index for selected item

    It is very unclear what you are actually trying to do - or why. :confused:

    In any case, if List = "10,12,10, 16,18", what result would you expect for "10" - 0 or 2?

    Re: Remove characters

    OK, glad we got there in the end.
    Highlights the importance of attention to detail. ;)
  5. Re: Data Validation - 3 Letters + 2 Numbers

    Given the change, can you clearly re-state in words exactly what the DV requirements are?
  6. Re: Delete rows if cell value is not contained on a list

    I think it is. Your question now is a general question about coding technique, not about deleting rows whose location is not wanted.
  7. Re: Reversing a String of numbers or text with delimiters

    Is there a particular reason you need to use Power Query for this?
    What version of Excel are you using?
    What would be the approximate maximum number of such prices in a single cell?

    No problem, glad to help. :)
  9. Re: Delete rows if cell value is not contained on a list

    I'm not sure what you are getting at with this but it has nothing to do with partial/complete matches.

    Sorry, I don't think we should hijack the OP's thread and head off regarding other code.

    Re: Remove characters

    My comments were not specifically about cases ending with a string of zeros but rather cases where there was a zero in position nine and that zero was followed only by other digits (0-9)

  12. Re: Help with duplicate values move horizontally

    Another way that you could consider

    Sub Rearrange()
    Dim d As Object
    Dim a As Variant
    Dim i As Long

    Set d = CreateObject("Scripting.Dictionary")
    a = Range("A1", Range("B" &...

    Perhaps it isn't possible with your data, but note my previous comment, and also try the code with these values

    Referencing my comments above, note that your code actually removes the first 9 characters from "AFT5985602"

    Re: Remove characters

    Try

    Sub Remove8()
    Range("C2", Range("C" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)).TextToColumns DataType:=xlFixedWidth, FieldInfo:=Array(Array(0, 9), Array(8, 2))

  17. Re: VBA MACRO TO Keep duplicates BASED ON CONDITION (Remove duplicate if the duplicate count of a particular id is greater 12 times

    OK, thanks.

    Dante has already made a suggestion but if there are any issues with that suggestion, then you might answer a few more from me.

    1. Dante's code sorts your data. That may or may not...

    More than a little for me! :huh:

    BTW, were you still a little verbose with your previous code? :-P
    That is, wouldn't this have done?

    Re: Inquiry

    If we have the same data how is the requirement different?

    What do you mean by "consecutive cells are not yet zero"?

    Perhaps we do need a couple more sets of sample data and the results?
  20. Re: Delete rows if cell value is not contained on a list

    You are very welcome. :)

    Since you asked, I do.
    1. Since we are looking to match or not match exact locations, not searching for text within longer strings, regular expressions are an...

    Re: xlookup v index

    jasonb75
    I suspect the OP is referring to the beta Excel worksheet function XLOOKUP, only available to selected users, not a UDF.
  23. Re: Delete rows if cell value is not contained on a list

    I have tried that. There may be other problems too but the first thing that occurred to me is that you don't appear to have thought of or tested(?) where a location to keep may consist of more than...
  24. Re: Using VLookup to overwrite existing value used to do the lookup

    Not sure how many rows of data you might have but another option may be to process all the rows together

  25. Re: Conditional Format only certain Rows in Pivot

    You mentioned that the numbers were percentages so I have assumed that where you show 100 or 60 the actual values are 1 or 0.6 etc. If not hopefully you can adapt this.
