    Re: Access: Form w/table as Source Filter

    Why can't you use the filter

    Me.Filter = "Client Like ""*" & Me.txtFilter & "*"""
    Me.FilterOn = True

    Do you do any research before you post here. Google even?

    Re: Access: If Statement to Run Macro

    No you can do it, do not even need the Application.Run, just use ModuleName.SuborFunctionName if the code is marked Private.

    Re: Access: Change Query Sql with VBA

    I always put my spaces at the beginning of the line. That way you do not have to scroll all the time to check your string.?

    Also I'd start using meaningful names for controls, Combo227 is not...

    Re: how to update records through Forms

    Just bind the controls to the source data and it will do it for you.

    Use the form wizard to create a form when on the table or query that will be the recordsource for the form.
  10. Re: What guidelines I should follow while editing ‘Globe with blue arrow’ table

    It is as it states, edit any linked table desin wise in the back end, or delete the link and import the table into your front end.
    The latter is not something I would do.
    You can edit the table...

    Re: What is early binding and late binding

    This explains it better than I could.
    From what you have mentioned so far, late binding woul dbe your choice and lose the vba intellisense.
    Alternatively develop in the same version.

    Re: Access Split form Refresh Problem

    Ever heard of the Refresh event for a form?

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/vba/api/access.form.refresh

    However I think you would need the requery method, not the refresh?

  15. Re: "subform datasheet view will only allow me to edit when first opened"

    You just need a combo in the main form and a subform for that.

    I use the emaulated split form, but only as a replacement for a split form and make sure the datasheet/continous is read only. I use...

    Re: Update Checkbox status

    No, bound controls refer to a form in Access. You are working in Excel and connecting to Access, so to my way of thinking these are unbound controls, and need to be refreshed.?
