    test it: enter time, change format to text, then change format to general then change format to time. don't change format of the cell before entering time

    if you want more use Alt+Q or F1

    dbl click and enter is the same as I said: re-enter time (after changing format)

    Excel has many ways to do the same things

    so select your source table (range)
    from Data tab choose From Table (or Get Data - From Table), check My Table Has Headers
    it will open Power Query Editor
    go to Advanced Editor
    replace code there...
