Re: [VBA] Only run macro in certain column

It seems to work for us, which leads me to believe that there is *something* different about the data you are working on. It could be some small details that you might not think should affect...
  2. Re: Access: A Query that only shows the lastest/Last record for each vendor

    You are welcome.
  3. Re: Copy Single file to multiple destination in easy way...?

I don't think there is, though you could create your own function (UDF) in VBA to do it.
That might be worth it if you were going to re-use it a bunch of time in your code, but if it is only to copy...
  4. Re: Access: A Query that only shows the lastest/Last record for each vendor

Sure. You would just first add it to both the SELECT and GROUP BY clauses of the query in blue, and then add another AND to the end of the JOIN to join on this field too.

    Note that instead of...
  5. Re: Access: A Query that only shows the lastest/Last record for each vendor

I would recommend using the date field. If the AutoCount field is an Autonum field, you cannot rely on it always to be increasing (though it usually is, it cannot guarantee it).

    Here is SQL code...
  6. Re: Copy Single file to multiple destination in easy way...?

Just add a second similar line under the first one, i.e.

    FileCopy "X:\Startup\Tasks Info_2018.xlsx", "U:\Backup\Tasks Info_2018.xlsx"

Re: VBA - copy cell if it is not empty

That's odd, it worked just fine for me.
I have a feeling that there may be some minor detail that you are leaving out, not realizing that it may be affecting something.

Re: VBA - copy cell if it is not empty

OK, I was only commenting on the issue with your code, but did not analzye it or the original question.
If you just want to focus on a specific range, you should not need to find the last row.

Re: VBA - copy cell if it is not empty

You forgot to remove the row number 34 after the E (Rows.Count returns the maximum row number, so you want to remove the row number reference of the range you are attaching that to).
    So change it...

    Welcome to the Board!

For security reasons, many of us are unable (or unwilling) to download files or images from the internet. So you may have more luck if you post your actual formula here, and...

Re: Copy using active cell with VBA

    Welcome to the Board!

This should do it. I even added a few "checks" in it for you.

    Sub MyCopyMacro()

' Check to make sure only one cell is selected
    If Selection.Count > 1 Then

Re: Simple Algebra calculation for variable

Are you trying to solve for x?
Then you need to get x on one side, and everything else on the other.
    So, it would look like

    =490/(1.05*1.1)

Re: Code needed for Max & Min Values

These are new questions. And I do not think I have the time to commit to something like this anyhow.
So you may be better off posting them to a new thread, or looking at get a Consultant to help...

    You are welcome.
  16. Re: Macro to check if a cell has been filled in if cell next to it is?

    You are welcome.
  17. Re: Copy down process - how to translate it into macro

Yes, you can do something like this:

    Sub CopyDown()

    Dim col as String

col = InputBox("Please enter the last column")

    Columns("A:" & col).Select...
  18. Re: Macro to check if a cell has been filled in if cell next to it is?

    Try this:

    Sub MyCheckingMacro()

    Dim cell As Range
    Dim msg As String

msg = "Missing entries from cells: "

    For Each cell In Range("AH52:AH252")
  19. Re: Access: Add AutoNumber firld to a Table using VBA

    Just a note:

With a MAKE TABLE query, you are kind of at the mercy of Access, it sets the fields up as it thinks it should be (which may not always be what you want).
What I often do instead of a...

Then please explain the logic we would need to use (in plain English) for deciding which columns to include.
Are there certain headers to include/not include?

Re: Function kicking error with two workbooks

When you hit "Debug", which line of code is highlighted?

Where and how is this Function being used?
In VBA, or in a formula on the sheet?
Please post the code/formula that uses it.
  22. Re: Macro to check if a cell has been filled in if cell next to it is?

How/when would you like this macro to run?
Are they going to be calling it/running it manually, or would you like it to somehow be automated?
If automated, we need to know what should trigger it to...
  23. Re: Copy down process - how to translate it into macro

You can dynamically find the last row and column, and use that.
    So replace this:

    Columns("A:B").Select
    with this:

    Dim lrow As Long
    Dim lcol As Long

    lrow =...

I found a few old links which discuss how to locate the last used row in a table (which is a little different than finding last used row in a column)....

Re: Access: Combo Box with only unique values

One way is to group the records via an Aggregate Query.
You do this by grouping by all the fields in your Select clausei.e.
