    Re: AccesS Formula help

    in a like vein:

    Switch([DaysAged]<31,"<30 Days",[DaysAged]<61,"31-60 Days",[DaysAged]<241,"61-240 Days",[DaysAged]>=241,">240 Days")

Re: Maintenance of MS Access Back End

Just out of curiousity is there anything in your BE other than data tables? What is the file size of the BE? Also I guess FWIW do you expect in time to be increasing the number of users?

Re: Maintenance of MS Access Back End

you might need to compact and repair more often if the db is expanding in size too much every day.
  4. Re: Access: If I have a query can I sum the value of one of its fields on a Form?

    a dsum function should work:

    =DSum( [Month01_Active], [qry_OnTimeDelivery_MetricData], '[Month01_Active] = 1' )

    Re: Access Split Database Issue

Why do you need to put the two tables into a single temp table? Can't you work with two tables?

    For instance:

select * from Table1 where Product = "ABC"
    union all
    select * from Table2...
  6. Re: How to find all combinations within a constraint

I don't think you have defined the problem clearly (i.e., what is Lowest Container Load and how do you calculate cost effectiveness). Also your sample solution of the top 3 lists 9 POs, so its not a...

    Re: ACCESS: Not Null Question

I think just add the not:

TAT: IIf([PDIR Completed] Is Not Null,DateDiff("d",[PDIR Due Date],[PDIR Completed],"")
  8. Re: method value of object metaproperty failed

When you say you are able to select it in sharepoint, you mean you have names there that are missing first names, like Smith, or Johnson, in the list?

Edit: note - if the answer to the above...
  9. Re: method value of object metaproperty failed

why is the data ending with a comma and a space - doesn't sound like a legitimate value generally. perhaps your metada point is expecting a valid numeric value.

Re: Convert Excel Formula To Access

I guess you could also try:
    <>5YRS_OLD: IIf([NTG INTERVAL]<=1825,"< 5yrs","> 5yrs")
  11. Re: VBA Automation Error - possibly born from my complete lack of understanding with Error Handling

    Hi,
I guess I can only suggest you start doing some logging to narrow down the problem.

perhaps think in terms of checkpointing
1st run started, 1st part complete, 2nd part complete, 3rd part...
  12. Re: VBA code to reset access mdb file permissions

From what I can find searching around in Google, It sound like if you create a new db and import all your databases objects into it the owner is reset. On the other hand, I'm not sure that there is...

    Re: Access Query

The query looks okay except I'm not used to seeing boolean False as a value in Access query. Access uses numeric values to store true and false (-1 and 0 respectively). Otherwise, you'd probably have...
  14. Re: Running into Error 462: The remote server machine does not exist

It's hard to say. Something crucial here would be the filenaming (since you can't save files with the same name). But that logic is hidden/obscured. Also not clear where/how this is being run (in a...
  15. Re: Running into Error 462: The remote server machine does not exist

I'm not sure I see what the use of the new "WordApp" is. It looks like you create it, do some work (not using it - using whatever is running the code), then destroy it.

    It's also possible that the...

    Re: Crash When Use SetWindowLongPtrA

    Some additional info here:

I can't really offer any specific advice - I use windows API programming very rarely so I...

Re: What's the fast way to do this?

I guess depending on how symbols are you talking about here I would use the regex solution but simple replace might be faster if you had only a small number of non-alphanumeric characters actually in...
  20. Re: SQL statement is give me error 3061 Too few parameters. Expected 1

Yes this is another good debugging tip for all of us.
  21. Re: SQL statement is give me error 3061 Too few parameters. Expected 1

The sql appears to be working correctly. I cannot understand what is happening either. Why would sql from a combobox populate a report? Its job is to populate the combobox.
  22. Re: SQL statement is give me error 3061 Too few parameters. Expected 1

That might be too much information now.

It loooks like the problem is in how you are using strSQL, in the sub cboEquipNumber_Click()

What is the value of me.cboEquipNumber when you are running...
  23. Re: SQL statement is give me error 3061 Too few parameters. Expected 1

I would suggest you show how you are using strSQL when you get the error.
  24. Re: SQL statement is give me error 3061 Too few parameters. Expected 1

Is this supposed to be a form field or some control value? Does it really have a single leading quote in it?

    ['Filter Report: Type EquipID]

Note that if it is a form field then the...

Re: Run time error 70 - Permission Denied

To use a desktop folder based on the current user you can use the WScript shell host (among other techniques, I am sure). This is how I have done this over the years, e.g.:
