  1. Re: Show all records of Main form in the subform instead of just one

Yes, check out the whole thread from the link Micron posted.
I have always left my subform as read only, in fact I have AllowEdits set to false and the controls locked, just in case.
    Download the...
  2. Re: Show all records of Main form in the subform instead of just one

I use that method that Micron has linked to, though I prefer to only edit in the main form.
A few lines of code in the form load is all you need.

What I like about this is that there are a few...

  4. Re: MS Access required field event procedure if another field contains a certain value

That is not a lot to go on? :(
What *exactly* did not work?, what were the values in the controls?
For a start you should be checking for "Contractors" as it is a string?
  5. Re: MS Access required field event procedure if another field contains a certain value

Set a breakpoint in the event and walk through the code with F8.
Chances are Sending_FTE is not null.?

    Perhaps use the NZ function?

    If NZ(Me.Sending_FTE,"") = "" Then

  6. Re: Create Printer Error for testing purposes

Well I expect the Raise function would do it? Wouldn't take a minute to test?
Not something I've done I admit. I spend all my time trying to avoid them. :D
  7. Re: Create Printer Error for testing purposes

    You can stop the spooler.
  8. Re: Trying to form a loop to open up files in other folders

I would walk through the range.?

Something like below. Where I have Debug.Print you would put the rest of the code for your process.
This is just to show one method.

    Don't forget. the macro...

  10. Re: Entering wrong date ie 30-2-19 (30-Feb-2019) in txtDate.text it displays as 19-Feb-1930 instead of showing error msg

I don't. If you look at my signature, I am not an expert at Access either. However I google and find something and amend to suit. On this occasion that would not likely work. Perhaps you can glean...
  11. Re: Entering wrong date ie 30-2-19 (30-Feb-2019) in txtDate.text it displays as 19-Feb-1930 instead of showing error msg

What I was trying to point out that eventually the 2 digit year test is going to fail. By that time you would likely be using new software. :D
Only you know your data, so if there is a chance of...
  12. Re: DMin function on an Access 2016 form to find lowest value in multiple controls

If you just want it in that form, I put it in that form as written.
If you might use it elsewhere, put it in a module as Public.
  13. Re: DMin function on an Access 2016 form to find lowest value in multiple controls

That function will give you the Max value, You were looking for the Min value.?

Just copy the code and change the logic.?
  14. Re: Entering wrong date ie 30-2-19 (30-Feb-2019) in txtDate.text it displays as 19-Feb-1930 instead of showing error msg

Split the string and use the components to build a valid date.
For instance if year is >=50 then century = 19 else it's 20

That should last you a while?

Re: Combo Box List Rows limit

I have a combo in one of my DB's with just over 4000 entries. Works just fine?
  17. Re: One Form, Multiple Query Sources (but not at the same time)

Change the form recordsource for the relevant query.
Would need to be done with VBA though. Place the code in the form load event, pass a value via OpenArgs and use a case statement for the correct...
  18. Re: DMin function on an Access 2016 form to find lowest value in multiple controls

If the database was normalised, each of those would be a separate record, so DMin would work.

Best I can think of is to just compare (as there are only 3).
    Compare 1 & 2 to get a variable set,...

  23. Re: Using Clipboard_SetData function to copy small table

    Peter_W,

How did you find the correct reference library for that function.?
  24. Re: Using Clipboard_SetData function to copy small table

Yeh, I was going to post the reference required.
If you are using the code you posted, you don't need the parameters. That was so it could be used with any table/query and field.?
  25. Re: Using Clipboard_SetData function to copy small table

It is a function. A function generally returns something, else you use a Sub, well I do anyway.
You have two choices. Initially I wrote it to return a string that you would use in your function just...
